The summer bouncing begins!

Hellooo,

It has been a long time since KTroo’s last blog post but we have so much to tell you about! Too much bouncing and not enough time to write!

It has been a crazy busy few months for KTroo, not only in Norwich but also in the South of England in Chichester. Not only have we been doing lots of classes with new people but also we have done lots of birthday parties and breakfast clubs a new type of club for KTroo. Bouncing before breakfast is a great way to get you up and awake to start you day fully energised and with summer approaching we have even been able to bounce outside.

One of the most exciting bounces we have done is Kate, Abbie and Jess went out to Madrid in Spain to go and bounce with 100’s of other people at a Rebound Boot Festival. We all had a great time and learned lots of new moves that we cant wait to teach you all. It was lovely and sunny and we even managed to fit in a little bit of sightseeing! On our tour of Madrid we swapped the boots for some Segway’s, it was a lot of fun even if we weren’t that good to start off with, but we soon picked it up!

There have been lots of birthdays celebrated on the boots, if you remember we went to do some bouncing in Ascot before Christmas in the December blog entry. KTroo has been back to Ascot and done a school social for 80 boys and girls and 2 birthday parties. As well as these two parties there has been lots celebrated in Norwich and Chichester.

Despite it being a long time since the last blog post, we promise we are going to make an extra effort to keep you all updated. Especially when we have so much exciting news to coming up in the summer to tell you about; for example Jamie’s Game later on in May, if any of you are interested in participating with this please let us know.

Stay Tuned, Keep Bouncing and enjoy the sun!

Bhutanese Farmers Carrying Full Baskets

Most of the food people consume today contains a serious amount of harmful chemicals – from pesticides to hormones. I remember being at a winery a few years ago and seeing people dressed up in pretty much space suits to go and spray the grapes…all to protect their skin against the pesticide…we then put this inside of us…what?!?!!!…

Unfortunately in today’s society, spraying synthetic chemicals on crops has become NORMAL.

All day everyday we are consuming harming chemicals and most people are unaware of how dangerous this is for our little human bodies.

An attempt to explain…

The word you need to know is ‘Endocrine Disrupting Chemical’ (EDC). Basically, a HORMONE DISRUPTING CHEMICAL.

That is the most complicated bit over…so keep reading!!

EDCs (HORMONE DISRUPTING CHEMICALS!) are chemicals – mostly man-made, found in various materials such as pesticides, metals, additives, and personal care products.

Basically, these chemicals affect our hormone systems…in a bad way.

EDCs (HORMONE DISRUPTING CHEMICALS!) are linked to:

THE LIST GOES ON….

So how do we change something that is so ingrained in the way that food is grown??…

It is a massive thing to change, but just think how much less illness there would be!! We wouldn’t have to spend so much money on treatments, healthcare….etc.

A lot of things worth doing are not easy. Nor cheap. So let’s look forward to this journey of change.

Awareness is a key factor to change. So here is to more people knowing about the dangers of chemicals! Let’s spread the word so that over time we can start to support more farmers in the transition to getting rid of those EDCs.…we might even get rid of the word altogether …now that would be a lot easier for everyone!!

N.B. The Environmental Working Group (doing great things) have a list called the ‘Dirty Dozen’ of the most synthetic chemical saturated products – so watch out for these nasties…if you can choose to buy only a few things organic, you could perhaps look to start with these…

I’ve been with my friends this weekend. We were all lunchbox kids at school, so we decided to have a craft-a-noon & make lots of wicked lunchbox characters ready for our lunches this week! I think people will think they are all crazy when they take them to work this week hahahaha!

Have fun making your 🙂
